Meet our Staff...

Pastor Tim Floyd
Senior Pastor

Our pastor became a believer when he was five years old and was called into ministry at age six. He is passionate about helping people find faith, building a loving church, and rescuing the people of Africa. Tim and his wife, Jonnel, are the parents of three children, all of them nearly grown. He enjoys Miami Hurricane football, scary movies and the great outdoors.

Marsha Duckwitz
Ministry Coordinator and Children's Ministry Director

Marsha has lived in Northern Virginia for 30 years, serving in various capacities in the church. She has a passion for missions and children and gets excited about serving the Lord in these ministries. If you want to find Marsha this coming summer you better look outside the walls of Providence. She'll be working at an orphanage in Uganda with other members of Providence; and closer to home, she'll be hiking the Appalachian Trail and whitewater rafting with elementary age kids from Providence.

Cole Floyd
Youth Minister

Saved at a young age and feeling a call to the ministry from the age of 13, Cole is very excited to be serving as youth minister at Providence. A graduate of the Southern Baptist Seminary in Spring of 2009, Cole has transitioned onto the staff after spending the summer ministering in Wales. With a huge heart for teenagers and the surrounding area of Northern Virginia, Cole looks forward to lead people to the cross and seeing disciples of Christ grow into a deep and meaningful relationship with their Lord and Savior and with the church body!

Lori Taylor
 Worship Arts Director

Lori and her family have been at Providence since 1990, when she was hired as accompanist. Now, as Director of Worship Arts, she takes joy in helping the body of Christ here at Providence explore different ways  to worship and grow closer to our Creator. Lori graduated from Tennessee Technological University with a major in music and education and Master's work in counselor education. She has 35 years of experience in the music industry but has found the greatest fulfillment in utilizing the arts as implements of worship. "What a privilege to lead and serve such a loving family! God is so good; He has blessed us so richly by His grace, how can we not respond with hearts full of thanks and the passion to live for Him?"
