Providence Baptist Church covenanted together as a church in 1951 under the sponsorship of Columbia Baptist Church. Originally, we worshipped together in a farmhouse setting where we remained until we built our own building in 1953 in what is now the Tyson's Shopping District. In 1990, Providence Baptist Church relocated and built its current church building.
